Our 1920s era building has housed an entrepreneurial spirit and historic past in the Prospect Park/East River Road neighborhood of Minneapolis ready to serve the many people that have passed through the door to buy groceries, fresh cut meats, penny candies, and enjoy local conversation.

Like Joseph Pehoushek and Don Chergosky before us, we continue to sustain a healthy family business operation in an ideal urban atmosphere. Away from crowded freeways and busy intersections, Signature Café offers an oasis for people looking to enjoy a good meal, glass of wine and intimate conversation.

Our cuisine reflects the heritage of the American Midwest – a little bit European and a little bit down home American. We strive to create meals with local, fresh ingredients with touches of our ancestry and of the Old World. Now in our 10th year, Signature Café has become a landmark for both the quality of our food and the scope of our American wine list. We have showcased such wine pioneers as Greg Graziano of Mendocino, Gary Wooton of Napa Valley, Stephen Ross Dooley of Paso Robles, Jean-Francoise of Walla Walla Valley, and Steve Brooks of Columbia Valley at quarterly winemaker dinners. We are dedicated to handcrafted wines produced in the Unites States of America family owned wineries.
